The Southcoast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) has issued a Smoke Advisory through Tuesday, due to the Holy Fire in the Holy Jim area of Trabuco Canyon. Air quality levels may reach unhealthful. This advisory will be updated on Tuesday morning. The fire has burned over 4000 acres since Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the Inland Empire and the region through 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7. Below is a summary of precautions to take when temperatures are into the triple digits.

- Temperature...High temperatures of 102 to
110 in the Inland Empire. - Impacts...Hot days combined with warm nights will increase the
threat of heat-related illness.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
- An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of
dangerous heat will occur. Heat illnesses are likely without
proper precautions. Drink plenty of fluids...frequent air-
conditioned spaces...stay out of the midday sun...and check up on
relatives and neighbors. - Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
