okay today we're looking at multiplying with the numbers 6 and this is a really great and fun where they do it with students instead of using flashcards so I always her off with a manipulative if I can I like to use an abacus or linking cubes for this and for the four sixes skip an example if we have three groups of six and see visually with that looks like so we have one group of six two groups and three groups of six and from our groupings we can see the six is actually 5 + 1 so students can actually count by 5 then add in the additional one next so would they can have when they have three times six  they can count five n 15 16 17 18 and efficiently get the answer in a reasonable amount of time and have to doing this enough new times are actually going to have that answer  memorize conceptually which is completely different than use in a flash card I can also write it this way by three times six or three groups of six suit students can just write down to three sixes and 5 10 15 16 17 18 okay let's look at 46123 for six groups are four groups of six 5 10 15 20 21 22 23 24  and let's move on five groups of six 5 10 15 20 25 26 27 28 29 30  and after doing this just a few times students have fluency and I'll understand their groups
