Mrs. Tagney ~     

My name is Shannon Tagney and I am the counselor here at LVS. I started at LVS in 2018 part time, and I feel so blessed to be a part of the Bulldog family. A little about me, I have lived in the Temecula Valley since 1988, and gosh I have seen it change! I attended Azusa Pacific University out of high school, where I received a B.S. in Business Marketing. It only took a couple of years to realize the business field was not for me. After working as a recruiter for a nearby college, I fell in love with the counseling career. I wanted to be able to equip and support students and families in a way I had never experienced. This led me back to Azusa Pacific University to receive my M.A. in Educational Counseling, with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. I am currently working on becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), which will help me better serve our students and families. I am married with three children- Savannah (13), Ella (11) and Nixon (5). 

I truly want what is best for all the students at LVS, and I hope to give families the tools needed to help their student succeed. I want to come along side families, collaborate, and be their advocate. I believe it's so empowering when we are equipped with the tools and resources to be able to make the best choice for ourselves (and when parents have the same tools and resources to guide their children). My goal for this page to be a resource to students, parents and staff. The counseling page will always be a work in progress, as I will update info and resources as much as I can!
